DMZ Peace Trail

Pyeonghwa-Nuri Trail Course 1

  • This beautiful route is also called “Riverside Trail” with a lovely harmony among a mountain, river, and DMZ fences.
  • Though the course begins with a bit of tension exuding from the fences, it becomes more peaceful as it reaches Deokpojin, and the path along the fences while looking onto Ganghwado Island over Yeomhagang River will make new memories.Going past Wonmeoru Quay, murals that long for peace and show different faces of peace-loving Gimpo citizens are seen below the fences while migratory birds around Yeomhagang River and wild flowers scattered throughout are also fun to watch. It will also be a unique experience to enjoy a number of resting places, flowers and the historic value and meaning of the Historic Site of Deokpojin that has gone through continuous repairs. Within 20- to 30-minute walk from Deokpojin, Daemyeonghang Port, you get to see beautiful scenery of the ocean, and Daemyeong Hamsang Park also offers a variety of things to see.
